Message Template - Overview

The Message Template provides the fundamental facilities for controlling the generation of emails, message-boards and their messages. The email functionality is a superset of the facility provided by the system template.

• The message object provides a number of facilities for managing messages of differing types. Each type of message is managed by a sub-object of its own:

  • The email message object enables very easy generation of emails.

  • The group message object gives access to message-board facilities that cloesly resemble Internet Newsgroups.

Page

The message object acts as a parent for message related activities.

Email

The email object provides mechanisms to construct and send emails.

Group

The group object provides mechanisms to create and delete groups (message areas typically divided by subject) and post and read messages in these groups.
