Whitebeam is based on code originally developed and Copyright Redbourne Ltd, it's initial contributor. It is distributed under the Redbourne Public Licence.

You may only use and distribute the code under the terms of this licence.

Commentary

This commentary attempts to explain in plain english the background to the licence, it does not constitute part of the licence, nor modify or contribute to the meaning of the licence which represents the whole agreement between the Copyright holder and licencee

RPL 1.0 is derived from the Mozilla Public License 1.1, the main change in meaning is in Section 2, where the Initial Developer Grant, and Contributor grants have been folded into a single grant on the same terms.

The other deltas are detail changes particular to English Law and UK English Language (e.g. Licence vs License) which shouldn't significantly effect the intent or operation of the Licence beyond that necessary to make it effective for Redbourne who are UK based organisation.
